Animals and Decartes

This post is in response to Descartes Apology. I thought it was very interesting that he believed that animals had no thoughts and they lived on instinct. He wrote that he looked into how animals organs work and how that contributes to them not having any thoughts. I found this video on YouTube and I thought it relates to animals having thoughts.
